About Me

My name is Hyla.

My name comes from the Greek word meaning “forest” or “wood,” symbolizing someone who is connected to nature, growth, and life among the trees.

Throughout Scripture, flourishing trees are often used as a picture of life rooted in faith and nourished by the Living Water—Jesus Christ. Just as a tree thrives when planted near streams of water, our lives flourish when we’re connected to Him.

A flourishing life isn’t just spiritual—it’s about having a whole, healthy body, soul, and spirit. That’s what this space is all about: learning, growing, and becoming rooted in what truly nourishes a vibrant life.

I love to share what I’ve been learning—from the wisdom of others and from what God has taught me through many of life’s lessons. I’m on a journey of continual growth and breakthrough, and I simply want to share that journey as it unfolds.

Here, I’ll be sharing practical things that are helping me physically, like new habits, natural supplement support, real food choices, simple lifestyle tips, and ways I’m learning to care for my body. I’ll also be sharing how I’m learning to manage my hypoglycemia more naturally and how I’m beginning to lose weight (finally!).

But wholeness goes so far beyond physical wellness. So I will also be sharing from a deeply personal place—what God is doing in my heart and how He is transforming me in ways I never imagined. I’ll be opening up about how He continues to renew my spirit and lovingly shape me into His likeness.

And if you journey with me long enough, I’ll eventually share a big project that I believe God has placed on my heart.

My hope is that you find this blog an encouragement, an inspiration, and a helpful resource.

Flourishing with you,
Hyla
